Misfit Ray Goes for Form and Function
Wearables maker Misfit has designed a new device that's (almost) all about fashion.
Dubbed the Ray, the device is, at its centre, a fettle and sleep monitor. It can track how many steps a user has taken, altitude traveled, calories burned, and more, but can also determine sleep duration and quality.
The master appeal of the Misfit Ray, however, is its design. The device is one of the thinnest on the market place and comes with a metal finish, giving it a more elegant, bracelet-like await. According to Misfit, the anodized aluminum trounce comes in two colors—Carbon Blackness and Rose Gilt—and has spring bars that allow information technology to be stacked and work with regular watches, bracelets, and necklaces.
The Ray could testify appealing to those who are looking for something a bit more than stylish. Over the last couple of years, wearables have been rather big and bulky and tend to fall curt of the mode some would like to run across. Misfit, which has designed similarly bulky devices in the past, is trying to gear up that.
Nether the hood, the Ray supports text and call notifications, equally well as alarms, movement reminders, and the ability to control other devices through the Misfit Link app. It likewise features a multicolor LED display and water-resistance up to l meters. One other benefit: its bombardment will last six months on a unmarried accuse.
The Ray is available at present at a starting price of $99 for the sport band model. Those who want the leather band will need to ante up $120.
