How To Draw A Anthro Cat
Hey! It'south a boi Lucid from Bone Squad back at it again with another tutorial! This time I would like to explain how I similar to draw Anthros and their proportions! I know that I inappreciably draw characters like this, just I wanted to challenge myself when making a new tutorial!
~~~~~
I describe them like to humans, but with more than exaggerated proportions! Anyways, on to the actual tutorial!
Step 1: Cartoon Guidelines
I chop-chop sketched out a effigy, equally shown below.
It looks like a person, merely information technology'due south not. I like to employ human looks as a basis for the way I draw anthros, because it's how I similar to draw them :smile: . Then, just chop-chop sketch out a figure in whatever pose yous desire! I just did a basic waving pose.
Step 2: The Head
When drawing anthro characters, by and large I draw the caput a bit large, especially since big ears are a mutual trait in animals such equally dogs, cats, bunnies, etc.
The grapheme that I am cartoon is supposed to be like a cat, so i drew true cat ears and a picayune scrap of "hair" in-between the ears! This can just exist done with quick, elementary curved lines. Also, I similar to draw "whiskers" on the side of the head in little triangles, to make my cat look more like a true cat. Inside of the ears, I make petty curved lines to signal that those are the insides, with hairs overlapping them.
Pace 3: The Body
When I movement on to bodies, I like to add a petty fluffy thing beneath the neck. That'south optional depending on your preference and the species you are drawing though. Anyways, when I draw bodies, I like to describe the legs rather long. I likewise sort of "hunch" the legs a bit? I'm not sure if that's the correct word. I do this because hind legs tend to fold a bit, then information technology looks more animal-like rather than human being legs. I also depict big feet with tiny claws at the lesser. Regarding the arms, I draw them like I would humans but add together fur and brand them a tiny bit thicker. It's also good to draw paws big, and maybe subtract a finger. The nails tin can be withal you lot similar, but i like to make them sharp and pointy ^^
Footstep 4: The Tail
Because I'm cartoon a cat, I describe the tail big and puffy. I rapidly draw line strokes curved to make pointed ends, and connect them over and over until it makes a tail! I start off smaller, than when it reaches the very end i brand the fur thicker!
Step 5: The Face
You could technically practise this after Step 2, but for Anthros I similar to do it last. I draw the eyes similar I would humans, simply I make the eyebrows smaller and thicker. As well, noses, atleast for cats, look like a triangle. I brand the triangle adequately small. I draw the mouth similar an upside three and add sharp teeth if the mouths open!
Optional: Patterns
Many Anthro characters take markings or designs on them to really make the OC pop! This is just an example of unlike fur patterns yous can draw on your grapheme.
That's all for my tutorial! I hope this can help someone that'due south either struggling with how to depict the proportions of anthros, or just wants to draw a species other than human.
